From Humble Beginnings
In 1987 in their Coonalpyn farm workshop, the 3 Miegel brothers Leo, Trevor & Phil assemble their first 600 bag ‘Kotzur’ storage silo from kit form. A dream….a Vision….a Passion is born!
1988 - 1991
On farm 50 tonne ‘Kotzur’ grain storage silo sales are strong. Miegel Bros is given the sole agency for ‘K-Rail’ in SA and all galvanised steel livestock Ramps are introduced with their innovative and unique design.
First Miegel Trailer Rolled Out
In the early 90's 3 x 200 tonne build on site ‘Kotzur’ silos are erected by the Miegel Bros team in the Coonalypn farming district(pictured top left).
Come 1996, the first Miegel Trailer is rolled out of production. Packed with innovative design, quality materials and built strong.
In 2001, 14 years and 500 silos later the last ‘Kotzur’ silo is delivered by Philip(left).
Miegels Expands
The dream is expanded and the Miegel Team move from the family farm at Coonalpyn to large modern manufacturing facilities at Murray Bridge, its current site and workshop on 3 Howard Road. Expanding its workforce from 5 to 18 in just 6 months.
Miegel Engineering celebrates 30 years of manufacturing for Australia 2017.
In 2019, further expanding the product range the first Miegel Shearing Deck is rolled out of production.
